We
live on our seaworthy and self-sufficient home in the water
in order to discover the world, experience one or more adventures
and explore different countries & cultures. In doing so
it is even better if we still have enough time for windsurfing,
kiting, diving and more fun sport. No other kind of the life
offers this in such a way, like the life on a sailing yacht.
It is a vehicle and a home all in one, which makes it possible
to travel the world comfortably, safely and once in a while
taking the liberty of sharing our life with people who come
to sail with us. If everything runs smoothly, probably we
will travel around the world, but more due to the fact, that
the earth is round. We travelled in our life already at lot
without a boat, mostly with the backpack, but is it not beautiful
to sleep everywhere in the world in your own bed and, if you
buy stuff on the local market, to cook it in your own kitchen?
Besides you have everything at hand, which you need along
the way.
Before the "baju-sailing" period we both actively
participated in the business world - not at least (and perhaps
also only), in order to finance the whole story. Stefan (born
1971) was all the years a management consultant (freelancer)
with a Master in Industrial Engineering; Heike (born 1974) has
a Master in Business Development and worked in Product Management,
later she exchanged that career for an education in Yoga and
is now a certified Yoga teacher. The period of our business
life was intensive and sometimes very exhausting, but in any
case fascinating, since we were able to discover different locations
in Europe and Asia. Sometimes it went very fast, from the week
end trip to the business discussion, from the local budget hostel
to the lounge at the airport. The saddest moments (and fortunately
most rarely) probably were, when we had to meet on weekends
somewhere in a hotel, since none of us had a firm domicile due
to lots an lots of business travel. That period was fortunately
over, when Heike parted from the classical working life, and
together we spent 4 years in Asia. Still a lot of travel, but
at least together - Stefan as a consultant, Heike as a Yoga
teacher. We don’t want to miss a minute of this great time,
but eternally one would not have held out such a life. Here

and photos from our previous experiences. We hope to enjoy
a more self-determined and relaxed life as sailors. Many things
in our business life which were outsourced, or simply bought
probably will fill our day now. The creative energy, which was
invested in IT projects or weekend travel, will be brought into
planning our sailing trips, getting water and polishing the
front loop.
