We are not a charter enterprise in the classical sense. Thus
we don’t plan to remain in some areas for many years or always
offer the same trip. We offer paying guests to come along
with us on our route, there, where we want to commit ourselves
and are able to do so before hand. Normally we offer trips
with the respective departure/ arrival port and date, as well
as a rough description of the sail route and the highlights.
Sometimes we know, what expects us, often not. That makes
the trip for everybody exciting, which it should be. What
we all make out of it is completely up to the crew on board.
But no doubt, it never will be boring.
Besides the offered trips, which we try to communicate
always roughly 6 months ahead, you can contact
us at any time to arrange a short notice sailing trip.
Sometimes it often makes no sense to offer an `official´
sailing trip due to a couple of uncertainties also we like
to keep our freedom to decide in the moment where the wind
takes us. That means for you: just shout if you have short
term vacation coming up and have no clue what to do, just
hop on board and we take it from there. If you like, we can
be helpful at the organization of the arrival/ departure journeys.
Likewise, if you want to hang-out on land before or after
the sailing journey, we are happily giving you a hand in organising
it.
No need to know everything or anything about sailing.
You are welcome to get involved, make it your own hands-on experience
or you can simply relax. It is your choice of just cruising or
learning the techniques of sailing and navigating. If you have
sailing experience and you feel capable of navigating a yacht,
the skipper holds back, and you take over the wheel. It is completely
up to you, what and how much you support the crew. Meaning you
can set the sails or navigate, but you don’t have to. You can
be actively involved in the sailing manoeuvre, but you don’t have
to. You prefer to sail longer distances or during the night? You’d
rather go snorkelling or explore the country? No problem just
let us know. In agreement with the captain nearly everything is
feasible.
In general we are sportive types;
our days are filled with action & fun. Stefan as an experienced
windsurfer and kiter
rocks the waves around the cat and is more than happy to explain things
to you. Heike as the yoga freak
provides the balance on board. Try it out; just join in for a sun
salutation in the morning if you are not busy riding a wave on the
Mini-Malibu. Under water we both feel very well acquainted, since
we are diving for eight years. If you
are interested, we can put a focus on one (or all) kind/s of sports
during our trips. This however, please co-ordinate with us up front,
then we know when to organise a hard core dive-trip or surf-odyssey.
Best to pool your folks together at home, charter the whole cat (from
5 people onwards) - then everything is possible. The equipment is
better brought along. For diving we have a Bauer compressor, tanks
and weights on board. Windsurf stuff can be borrowed against a fee.
Hard core (wind-) surfers better bring their own equipment.
Food kitty – what
is this?
Food is always something to look forward to, not
only due to the range of local ingredients, which we will discover,
but also for the simple reason that preparing a large meal at
the end of the day is an enjoyable social event involving everyone
onboard.
To make it easy the food kitty is a fixed amount, which depends
on the area/ country we are sailing in. If not stated otherwise
it is 150€ per week per person and is paid in cash when you arrive
on board. Included are all meals, beverages (water, soft drinks
and the mandatory sun downer), all fuel costs for the yacht and
the dingy, fees for custom, national park fees, costs of transit
logs, as well as the complete final clean up. The advantage for
you is not spending a day of your holiday in the supermarket or
cleaning the yacht at the end, but rather enjoying it from the
first minute onward. Every night we will anchor in a beautiful
bay. Our baby baju is ready any time to bring you on shore and
of course this is inclusive. Personal costs are exclusive, as
well as, if the crew decides to eat out in a restaurant. The price
excludes airfares, transfers to/ from the yacht, alcohol and if
so habour fees. Baju carries a variety of condiments, and snacks
are available all day long. Guests are invited to use the galley
as they please and are welcome to bring favourite treats from
home.
